Google Performance Fueled by Feeds
Challenge: From May to mid-September 2024, Citroën’s Google Vehicle Ads activity was powered by a manually maintained Google Sheet - a practical, agile way to launch quickly and gather early insights. However, with only 10 live vehicle listing configurations, there were natural limitations around scale, automation, and the ability to dynamically promote key models.
Recognising the opportunity to drive more efficient scale, Performics identified that working with a specialist feed management partner could unlock broader coverage and build the technical foundation needed to grow the channel effectively.
Approach: In September 2024, FeedSpark was brought on board to deliver the next phase of growth. Our first step was to enrich vehicle listings within the feed by scraping Citroën’s product detail pages (PDPs), filling gaps in specification and model data to ensure full compliance with Google’s requirements.
This enabled the launch of a fully automated Google Vehicle Ads feed on 17th September - replacing manual processes with a scalable, high-performance setup.
To unlock performance, we delivered:
Scraping PDPs to enrich spec and model data
Replacing the Google Sheet with a structured, automated feed
Expanding coverage from 10 to 500+ vehicle configurations
Aligning feed structure and taxonomy with Stellantis group goals
Outcome: With the automated feed in place, performance lifted across all metrics.
Clicks increased by +122%, impressions rose +384%, and media spend scaled +376% — enabled by richer data and wider coverage across high-intent vehicle configurations.
Most importantly, Car Configurator Leads (LFAs) grew by +121%, while maintaining a cost per lead well below benchmark campaigns.
